I'm not dead yet

Hey all

I'm still around. I'm just a bum who doesn't blog often. but due to boredom as well as hearing other people blog, i felt why the hell not.

So welcome back to A Shameless Plug.

I actually want to talk about an anime show i'm watching (at this very moment) the second season to. Higurashi no Naku Koro ni. release in the US under the title When They Cry. The title refers to the cicadas crying at night. Its a decent show and has nice classic horror elements to it. It is worth the rent at the very lease.
(its also very hard to type this while I watch the 6th episode to the second season)

non-sequitur comment about the topic:
also, it really weird hearing such a deep feminine voice from a little 7 yr old girl.

Anyway,
The general plot about When They Cry is centered around a small japanese village (Hinamizawa) set in early June 1983 before the Watanagashi Festival , a major festival/religous event for the town. In the past four years one person has died and another disappears at the time of the Watanagashi Festival. This year is no different, but at the same time it is...

The show's storyline is set up into different arcs of two (appropriately named) types: question arcs and answer arcs. The show has a "choose your own adventure" (if any of you remember those book at all) feel to it; where some same plot elements stay, but choices of the characters drive the type of ending they will get.

Well I have to get back to some reading i need to get done today. If I think of anything to type, you'll be the first to know, considering this is the only blog i have.
